Be Well: Achieving Optimal Health & Fitness with Wolfpack Performance Interview (Part 1)

Last year was different, it was one that I could not have imagined for obvious reasons and one I hadn’t considered. By the end of the year, I was feeling flat, tired, and a few kilos heavier so I decided something had to change. I reached out to Nick from Wolfpack Performance and started working with him virtually to feel better, move better again, and just be well.

I’ve noticed changes physically and mentally after working with Nick for 6 weeks and I wanted to share some information about Wolfpack Performance and what he does. So without further ado…

What is Wolfpack Performance?

Wolfpack Performance is more than a gym. As an exercise physiologist and coach, I support and empower the Wolfpack Performance community to be high-performing and healthy individuals through exercise. We’re a community that helps and encourages each other to be our best selves, and also work in the local community through events and education.

Interview with Nick of Wolfpack Performance Part 1

How did you get into this work?

I was a chubby kid up until mid-high school. I first started training in a really small backyard shed, my dad had some weights set up in there and old-school bodybuilding and training books. So I started reading those when I was 15/16 and he showed me how to train. Then, I started training myself after school 3 or 4 times a week. My body started changing, I become stronger and more confident, and then started learning more from there. I found the more confidence I had in seeing my body change, and the more things I was able to do motivated me to pass that on to other people.

Who are your clients?

I work with everyday people, athletes and everyone in between. Anyone who wants to be the best version of themselves.

How do you work with your clients?

I work with clients in group environments, one on one and online. The first step is to help someone find their bigger reason, their soul goal. It’s more than stats it’s about why you want to do something and finding the connection to the bigger goal. For example, why do you want to get stronger? It’ll help you to get through the down phases and stay connected to your bigger picture.

We provide a comprehensive physical assessment to highlight your strengths and identify areas for improvement. It includes movement screening and performance assessment to determine your strength and weaknesses. With that info, we create a customized training program based on your needs. We also offer nutrition and recovery assessments with ongoing nutrition planning. All of this will be linked to your soul goal.
